Over-whelming Winner of the Six Word Story

December 7th, 2019

I closed the voting early due to the over-whelming popularity of #5 – ‘Nope! Not until he says ‘sorry’!’ by Wylie @pusspup.

Congrats, Wylie!! You garnered 28 of the 41 votes so it is now over to you to set up 100th edition of the Six Word Story.

I did not set a date of the 100th edition of Six Word Story when I started the voting just in case the winner wanted to give this one a theme. Wylie is now the host, and will take the reins as to starting date and rules.

Wylie, @pusspup , do you need any help setting up the next challenge? I would be more than happy to lend a hand if you need it!
December 10th, 2019
@farmreporter OMG I only just noticed this! Eek, what do I do?
December 10th, 2019
@pusspup
Don't panic - will you be setting up a theme for this one? Have you ever set up a challenge?
I will send you instructions in two seconds - just have to find them in my documents!
December 10th, 2019
@farmreporter I've not set up a challenge, this will be my first!

@pusspup
The first part of your challenge is quite easy ... actually it all is so no need to worry about the process. Decide what the theme of the challenge is or if you want to give it one (Christmas might be fun), and then you can start the new challenge.

I usually just copy the preceding challenge onto a word document and make the necessary changes such as title, starting and ending dates, and tag. The one for this was: https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/42815/tell-us-your-six-word-story-99th-edition

Then you go to Discuss under the task bar on top, click on it, click on Themes and Competitions, and open a New Topic on the top of the page.

You can copy in the details of the challenge - ending date, tag, and rules in the main body of the new topic. Don’t worry if you have messed up because you can go back and edit anything in your new topic except the title (so don’t mess up the title – lol!)

I usually do most of my work in a word doc or other such program of your choice and then just copy and paste into your new topic. I will also occasionally use the previous challenge as a template to set up the new challenge.

Once that is up - just sit back and watch the entries come in until the challenge is over!!

I can help you set up the voting when the time comes if you would like.

@pusspup
Congrats on winning your first challenge! It is always so memorable! Have fun with this one!
December 11th, 2019
@farmreporter which bit is the title? As you said, 'don't get it wrong' I want to be sure, to be sure! Is it the
6ws-100th edition; Theme 'holidays'
or something along those lines? s that theme OK, its a little more inclusive than Christmas perhaps?
December 11th, 2019
@pusspup
So sorry I did not see your question until now.
Your theme is excellent and is far more inclusive than Christmas.
As for the title - it is what goes in the very top with its' very own header. For example - the title of this thread that I announced you as winner is 'The Over-whelming Winner of the Six Word Story'.
Your tag should be sixws-100 .
December 11th, 2019
@farmreporter thanks I'll load it up in the morning then and presumably its appropriate to announce the Theme in the title?
December 11th, 2019
@pusspup
It sure is!! The great thing about being the host is that it is your challenge and your rules. You get to put your own personal touch to this challenge.
December 12th, 2019
@pusspup
How is it going? Do you have any more questions before you set this up?
I am bringing my computer in for a check-up this morning but will be back on line later today.

@farmreporter HI Wendy, I finally got my act together and posted the next challenge. Pretty much I copied yours and opened it for 2 weeks from next Tuesday.
