Composite 24 - Time

January 15th, 2020
Thanks to @pistache, for hosting a lovely composite challenge. Up to me for the next one, composite 24.

The theme is "time." Time in the past, the present, the future and as it appears in the mundane or in the imaginary. Here's a quote to help, perhaps (but don't feel bound by it):

"Does anybody realize what life is while they're living it - every, every minute?”
― Thornton Wilder, Our Town

How does time show up, pass, depart or be measured for you? Show us. :)

Or, just work a clock into an image because you're figuring it out and that is where you are. (Wild applause for joining in the fun.)

The instructions as set out in previous challenges:

A composite photograph is one that is made up of several photographs or pieces of photographs which have been merged or layered together. It can also include textures and effects that have been applied to the picture as well. Composite photography gives you a lot of room for creativity and ingenuity as you manufacture photos composed of elements that might not necessarily be found together in reality but somehow they seem completely at home with one another in the picture. Some composites take related photos and merge them together to form a whole new picture. It's totally up to the photographer as to what they want to portray and how they'll portray it.

For our composite challenge here on 365 you must use at least one picture that is completely yours but you can blend in other images, such as stock images, if you so choose. Just keep in mind that should you use an image that is not yours it should be licensed as free to use for any purpose.

You are very welcome to enter as many times as you wish but only one entry from any contestant may be chosen as a finalist.

Check out the previous entries for these composite themes. Looking forward to everyone's imaginative entries! Thank you for playing along.

Also, oftentimes people don't know where to find some images that they can use for their composites.

Here is a link to some steampunk .png clocks in DeviantArt. You can download them from the link. Just read their rules for use.

.png files are "cut-outs" that are easily pasted and re-sized to the composite file. No messy backgrounds to cut out. Maybe this helps??? :)

For downloading, look on the lower right side of the link, after you open it (in the new window). There is a downward arrow. Click on it. Look in your "downloads" folder for the collection.

After you download the file, you can open it into Photoshop, to add to your final image.

Here is a sample (although it doesn't qualify, because none of the images are mine). Hoping it sparks some ideas.
