New Technique Challenge - Food Stories - join in!

April 4th, 2020

Thank you to @ditdatdot for hosting the multiple exposure/Pep Ventosa technique challenge. I really enjoyed learning about, and trying to use, his technique. However I was very surprised and thrilled to win!

I had a lot of trouble thinking of something for the next challenge given that most of us are restricted to home. I know that food was the technique challenge a few challenges ago but I decided that since food is something we all still have in common these days that it would make an easily accessible subject. So - food stories.

Try to tell a story with your food photo. Maybe you’ve, or someone in your home has been cooking more and tried something new that you love. I’ve been roasting more vegetables lately and am loving it - carrots, beets, cauliflower, broccoli.

Or you’ve rediscovered something that you love and have not had in a long time. Or you got some awesome takeout food or a sweet treat that was delicious and lifted your spirits. Your most comforting cup of tea, coffee or a stronger drink. Or maybe you even had a food failure that you (and we) can laugh about. Or just enjoy spending time making an interesting food shot. You might choose to use a creative edit. Have some fun with this. Tell us a story.

There is a lot of food photography information on the internet. Here’s just one:
