NEW Technique Challenge 121: Negative Space

November 12th, 2021
Thank you everyone for voting for my photo in the last challenge. It was a lovely surprise. Thank you Katy @grammyn for doing a great job choosing a unique technique and of hosting the last challenge.

It has been a while since we’ve focused on our next technique: NEGATIVE SPACE.

"Negative space photography is the area surrounding the main subject in a photo that is left unoccupied. Put simply, it is the space around the object itself that helps define the positive space (or main focus)."

Here are a few links to give you some ideas as to how you might do this:

The challenge starts today, 12 November 2021, and runs for 3 weeks until 2 December 2021. Photos must be taken within this time frame. I love this technique and can’t wait to see your beautiful entries!

I’m looking forward to this challenge! The last one was a repeat if you want to fix that on this list Cristina
