Seasonal Composite Challenge

March 23rd, 2022
Very many thanks to Nick @nickspicsnz for hosting the last round of the Composite Challenge. Thank you to everyone who took part and who voted, I’m chuffed to have narrowly won against some very stiff, and talented, competition.

We haven't had a theme for the composite challenge lately, so I've thought long and hard and as we have just had an equinox I have elected to have SEASONS as the theme for 45th composite challenge.

Your composite image can be realistic or as fantastic as you’d like to make it, you are limited only by your imagination. Check out some of the fabulous composite images here on 365 https://365project.org/tags/composite for inspiration.

Wikipedia describes compositing as “the combining of visual elements from separate sources into single images, often to create the illusion that all those elements are part of the same scene."

Making a composite image can be fun and it is easy to fall down the rabbit hole of processing, layering and erasing. You will find any number of tutorials for your chosen editing program on You-Tube.

For this challenge you MUST use at least one picture that is completely yours but you may blend in stock images, stickers or text if you so choose.

***Please keep in mind that if you use an image that is not yours, it must be licensed as copyright free to use for any purpose, and you should credit it in your narrative***

If you've created a composite before, you know how much fun it is. If you haven't, now is the time to take the plunge and give it a go. You'll never know until you try.You are very welcome to enter as many times as you wish but only one entry from any contestant may be chosen as a finalist.

The challenge details:
Start date – 23rd March
End date – 2nd May
Tag – composite45

See entries here: https://365project.org/tags/composite45

Looking forward to seeing your SEASON composites.
