Note: I am posting this earlier so that our 365 friends who are right now in the future (that is, one day ahead) will have enough time to consider playing and the rest of you may ponder at the same time.
WHEW! Did we all get through that nasty COVID-19 plague, barely? I hope that you were all able to beat the damned thing and booted it for good.
This is the time of the year when the leaves have all turned colours and dropped to the ground and we’re looking at tree branches that are drab and boring brown. Or you’re giddy looking at that wisteria blooming in your neighbour’s garden but your tulips are hesitating to come out. Well, that depends on where you are on the planet, of course. No worries, the holidays are coming and they sure will lift our spirits in no time.
While we wait: want a short and sweet challenge to tickle your photographic mind? Why don’t we dally together, if just for ONE WEEK ONLY? No fancy expectations, no long-term commitments. Do a day or night together, or a couple if you like, and leave. No pulling on anyone’s sleeves and no begging to stay. But we’d like it if you stay the week. Yes, folks, I’m still talking about photography here.
One Week Only is not a challenge that puts pressure on you or your time or skills. Although this runs for just one week, you have the option to participate for the whole week, or just for a couple of days; in fact, you may even post your entries next week or whenever you get to it. There is no voting; the competition is within yourself so there are only winners. Whether you're a newbie or an old-hand 365er or in-between, or you've been absent but itching to come back even for a brief time, this exercise is for you! Use any technique you like, any subject that pleases you. You may choose to post new photos or if you have one in your archives last week or last year that fits the prompt for the day and that you haven't the chance to post, by all means, post it and tag it as such. The only caveat is you took the photos yourself.
There are seven prompts for the week, one for each day, chosen through random.org. you shoot, you post and after that we move on with our lives. You may switch the days and prompts as you like, because around here on 365, we live by the mantra "your project, your rule".
ALSO: if any of your entry fits any of the current challenges, feel free to tag it as such.
Remember, interpretation of the prompts is only limited by your imagination. So, ladies and gentlemen, get your cameras ready! Here are the prompts:
Monday– Halloween
Tuesday - Opposites
Wednesday - ISO 100
Thursday – Window lighting
Friday – Bokeh
Saturday - Minimal
Sunday – Roll credit
That's it. Easy-peasy, ain't it?
Let's start on Monday, October 31st and tag our photos OWO-5 so we can easily find them!
You are tagged here because you previously participated in this mini-challenge (except for 5 people who are mandated, commanded and so ordered 😜 -- you know who you are!).
Oh boy- I hope I'm one of the mysterious "mandated" 365ers- that would be quite the honor. Like Sally, I'll do my best to tackle those prompts- but I'm not sure about "Roll Credit"- hmmmmm.....
@summerfield Thanks Vikki, for setting this up again. I will try to play along. Great themes, but not easy! I too had to google roll credits,... ;-) I do not know yet, how to creatively translate this into a pic. Thanks for the challenge.
I’ll try! Unless I get Covid that is hitting hard these days around me…thank you for organize the challenge, good medicine against the photographer ‘s block. See you tomorrow
re roll credit - my understanding of this prompt is an image which could be a start or an end of a story. when you watch a movie or your favourite show or soap, mind what was the initial images, or the frozen image at the end of that movie. you would know that at one time you would have taken a similar photo, but it could be any photo really.
@agalivinglite - OWO-5 starts today, 31st October. the prompt for today is halloween. thanks for joining. i'm looking forward to seeing your post. just remember to tag it OWO-5.

One suggestion, perhaps for a similar challenge in future would be for day 7 to be a collage of the previous six days.
Many thanks for running this challenge.
