New Mundane Challenge - RING

March 20th, 2023
A huge thank you to ☠️northy ( @northy ) for hosting the last Mundane Challenge, I have the honour to host the next challenge.

I thought a lot about the next challenge what the topic should be... I also found a list (in a previous challenge) and I tried to choose a topic that hadn't been there yet, so the theme of this challenge is: RING

the ring, which can be found all around us both as an object and as a shape (for example: a key ring, a towel ring, smoke ring, jewellery, a circular line, figure, object or pattern etc. )

…and now a little overview of the background of the challenge:
@grizzlysghost started the first mundane challenge... here's how he introduced it:

"Ever lose inspiration and just don't know what to photograph? I can sometimes pull myself out of the hole by taking a common, boring object and start shooting it.

Then I figured, maybe I'm not alone in this; sounds like an interesting challenge!

...

It can be any kind of shot (high key, low key, DoF, blur, forced perspective, bokehlicious, anything you can think up).

The only rule; there can be no question the object of the challenge is the star!"

You may enter as many images as you like, but, as usual, only one may be selected as a finalist. The winner receives the honour of hosting the next mundane challenge.

The start date is: March 20 2023
The end date is: April 20 2023
Tag entries: mundane-ring

We’re all very much looking forward to seeing your photos!

Congratulations on winning the last challenge, a very clever idea, and a nice theme for the new one. Just one thing, you might want to edit " toothbrush " to " ring ". Just over half way through your post.

@markp Thank you so much for your kind words! :)
... I didn't modify it because they are @grizzlysghost 's words from the past. That was the first mundane challenge. It's just a flashback from the past as he introduced this challenge.

@markp I changed the text a little bit, I also thought it might be confusing to leave the topic of the first challenge in the text. Thanks!

Sorry, I hadn't realised that the very first and the last challenges shared the same theme. I have been here long enough to remember that original post, ( but not the theme), being posted and thinking it was a great idea. Not done this challenge for a while, maybe it's time to have another go.
