It’s time to vote for Landscape-77. There were 29 entries, so I was tempted to pick more for you to vote for. However, only 10 different people submitted. There were some awesome shots, and I found it very difficult to choose. Photography, like art, is very subjective, so I realise my picks would not necessarily be someone else's.
I’ve added a brief explanation of why I selected each shot.
1.
This one immediately caught my attention, just from looking at the thumbnails. That huge, snowy mountain stood out, and I love the inclusion of skiers, which gives scale to the landscape.
2.
I love the colour of the leaves in this shot. I like how the sky reflecting in the water leads your eye through the scene and to the top of the lake
3.
This entrant had numerous photos of wild seas, as well as a fantastic cityscape, which really grabbed me too. However, I opted for this one for the fantastic timing of the wave crashing, as well as the beautiful contrasting colours of orange and turquoise in the sea and the sky.
4.
I kept coming back to this one. Although the main path tends to lead the eye out of the frame. There is an intriguing, small trail that wanders through the trees. I also love the green colour palette, and I admire anyone who can take forest shots.
5.
This one is particularly personal to me. I grew up near hear and it brought back happy memories of trips as a child scrambling among the rocks.
And you did a great job in selecting the finalists- it was hard to choose!
