If you’ve just joined 365, or you’ve been here a while and wondered what’s it’s all about, this is a 52 week challenge with a new theme each week. The idea is to prompt you to try out new techniques, ideas you might not have thought of, and to take you out of your comfort zone with your photography – but in a friendly, relaxed way! You’re not obliged to do every prompt, so if you miss a week (or two), nobody minds. It’s not a competition, it’s just for fun.
If you would like me to tag you when I’m posting the weekly prompts, please leave a comment below and I’ll add you to the list.
As always, I’d like to thank the creators of this challenge, Alison Crea and Justine Solomano, who run the Capture52 Challenge over on Facebook, and who have very kindly allowed us to follow along here on 365 for the last few years. If you’re on Facebook, please do join the group. It’s a friendly, positive group for all photography types and skill levels
Can you clarify for me? "Week 6 (5 Feb - 11 Feb) Colour black and white Absolutely NO converting to monochrome. "
Does this mean that we have to take pictures of things that are actually B&W or we have to take the shots with our camera on B&W mode rather than converting the shots later?
@gardencat@lsquared Sorry about the delay in answering this - I think what they mean is that you take photos of things that are actually black and white (and grey); so you'd technically have a colour image, but it would look like a black and white one. An example might be the silhouette of a bare tree against a grey sky. I hope that clears it up!
