Welcome to the newest round of the Scenes of the Road challenge! And thanks to everyone who keep this wonderful challenge going with their entries and voting. I am honoured to have won the last round with my dust filled shot of a logging truck on a gravel road.
And thanks to John Falconer @johnfalconer who hosted the last round and whose description I have unabashedly copied.
This challenge was started by Beau who unfortunately is not active on the site any longer. However, I think his description is the best one.
"With work, I drive a lot, through different types of areas. Cityscapes, rural, seaside and countryside. Quite often, I've driven past a scene that catches the eye, and I think, that would make a great photo. But I don't have my camera, or, I don't have time to stop. So I thought this would make a fun challenge:
Capture a scene off the road, of a road, next to a dirt path, of the traffic during your commute, from the platform of a train station, people waiting at a bus stop, out the window of a plane, or the scope of a submarine...etc. Show us something in your travels. Capture something of the world, of life we pass by everyday.
Obviously the disclaimer: DO NOT PUT YOURSELF IN HARM'S WAY. Keep aware of your surroundings and stay safe."
Start date - Tuesday, September 1st
End date - Wednesday, November 4th
Tag - scenesoftheroad-88
You may submit as many photos as you like but no more than 1 entry per photographer will be included in the voting round. All entries for this round of the challenge can be seen here:
