So much creativity demonstrated by the participants! I had a wonderful time going through all the submissions and marveling at the photos. The finalists picked were based on my subjective judgement although I did rely on the following defintion about the difference between “abstract” art and “nonobjective” art:
‘While both styles rely on the elements of art (shape, value, line, color, contrast, texture, form within a space), abstract art usually has a basis in reality, as in something being “abstracted.”’

Voting will close at midnight in your time zone on Friday, 17 August. I will announce the winner the next day and they can then take on the mantle of continuing this competition.
