TECHNIQUE #97 - HIGH KEY STILL LIFE

Thank you for voting my for my Chicago panoramic skyline and let me offer, too, my congratulations to the other finalists. Thanks also to Simon Baker @oakie for hosting the last challenge and choosing my photo as one of the finalists.

For this next round, I thought we could go back to shooting "still life in high key". No portraits, only still life, please.

High key photography uses unnaturally bright lighting to blow out most or all harsh shadows in an image. High key methods were originally developed as a solution to screens that couldn't properly display high contrast ratios, but has developed into more of a stylistic choice.
