I was really surprised when my image was picked as a finalist and even more surprised when it received enough votes to make it a winner! Thank you so much! A special thanks to Wendy @farmreporter for hosting Abstract 60 and also to Kali @kali66 and Northy @northy, who suggested I should tag my “inside drum of washing machine” image and participate in the challenge!
Now it is my honour to host Abstract-61. So it’s time for some new inspiring abstract photos!
This challenge is all about seeing abstract in the real world. Don’t worry about getting it right. Abstract photography should be a place of complete freedom. And this is why the most important "quality" for abstract photography are just your imagination and creativity!
So how do you create an abstract image and make really amazing abstracts? Here are some tips I personally like:
Shoot the ordinary.
Choose strong shapes.
Get up close.
Use color to grab attention.
Seek out texture.
Look for repeating patterns.
Use lines and curves.
Photograph reflections.
Shoot through another object.
Capture motion.
Go macro.
Start Date: Thursday, January 20th (back dated to end of Abstract 60)
End Date: Thursday, February 17th.
Tag: abstract-61
Entries can be viewed here: https://365project.org/tags/abstract-61
Any photos taken in that time frame are eligible. Enter as many photos as you wish but, of course, only one entry may be chosen as a finalist.
I encourage everyone to post your entries to this thread to inspire others.
