A great capture of one of my favorite streets to run down.



Power lines along a nearby walking trail - I tried and failed at capturing a shot I liked last year, so this felt like a real accomplishment.

Tough call, but I think this is my favorite for January. I think it’s good, technically, and (hopefully) captures the feeling I had when I took it. Over time, I've taken several photos from this (general) spot, different seasons / times of day, color/Black and white, different focal lengths... but this is the first one that really works for me.

I chose this collage of pictures from the Chinese New Year parade in Vancouver because it was such a happy, colourful event and so much fun to shoot. I even got a snap of our PM. (Although I entered a better one of him in the People in a Crowd challenge.)
