how to do a watermark with your name?

Can anyone give me some pointers about how to watermark my pictures? Or, suggest a website/blog post I can read? I mostly use Picasa to edit.

Thanks, in advance, for helping out a newbie!

in Search box (top right in this site) "watermark" and you'll see many links to previous discussions. Sure you'll find something to help you. Good luck!

try fast stone resizer, you can either add text to a list of images at once or your own digital water mark, which is just a logo you can make in another program, but adding text is fast simple and easy with fast stone resizer. look around for free fonts that you like, add them to your windows font folder and create unique watermarks with text.

In picasa i believe you can do a text box, you can watermark that way. Many editing programs have a watermark on export type button. I don't know about Picasa, I use Photoshop sorry.

if you use photoshop, then just make a brush of your name, save it & you can use it as a watermark anytime you want.

Hi Krista, I use Adobe Lightroom alot, and there is an inbuilt feature to watermark all your photos. this can be from a simple text such as your name, or it could be a compliated image file created in programs such as Photoshop. I find it really easy to use, and for photos I don't want to have a watermark, i.e. family photos, I just have to untick the "watermark" box.

A watermark software can help you.
Such as aPhoto:

aPhoto is a full-featured and easy-to-use software that allows you to add text and image watermarks to your photos. Protect your copyrights with a copyright notice or your logo. Or just add text comments to your photos.

You need to discuss this with a lawyer who knows how to do this.
