Pollard willow 2

Another pollard willow, too long not being pruned. the weight of the long branches can tear the main trunk apart.
A pollard willow (knotwilg) is a willow whose branches are pruned every 2-6 years. These branches could be used to feed the cattle and they also used to make fences, baskets e.o. It's a lot of work to keep these pollard willows in good shape and therefore many farmes cleared them.
Lovely view

Such beautiful trees - I'm glad some people still make the effort to keep them growing. It seems like a evolutional flaw that the branches can split the trunk....

Really nice to see - Did you do HDR for this? It does have a 3D look but not over the top as we have seen HDR in the past

@myhrhelper That's right. I struggled with the photo's exposure and colors. I use HDR very often, but preferable one should not see this. Although my Sony a7iii has quite a good dynamic range, it's exposure bracketing works so well and my new PC can process it so fast, that most of the time in landscape I use this function.

@djepie sometimes I use HDR but typically use the Lightroom HDR feature. My camera Nikon D750 does have an HDR feature but I haven't used that for some time. I think that would be a fun test. Lightroom results vs. camera setting. I think I would have to shoot jpg for the camera setting, I don't remember.

@myhrhelper I also it from Lightroom! My camera had No built-in function neither. Just a great variety of exposure bracketing settings (3-9 photos, different range)
