There have also been quite a few tui around. They have such a musical song. This one was sitting high up in a tree singing away as happy as. My husband doesn't like this photo. He said it isn't black enough and the feathers are all ruffly! I rather like the ruffles plus I like the way the light is showing up the different colours in the feathers.
Birds ruffle their feathers, so the shot is a good one - it captures a moment in time. I always feel that if the head is sharp, and yours is, then all is good! By the way, I would never have known what colour his feathers were supposed to be, having never seen a Tui before!
