Hedgehog

I had my little granddaughter staying with me and we spied this hedgehog under the trampoline. This trampoline is dug into the ground so we have sometimes had little creatures fall in, and then unfortunately die because they can't get out. I thought this hedgehog was dead too, but later my granddaughter told me the hedgehog was gone. It had moved to the other side of the hole, so it meant a rescue!! I'm not sure how long he had been there, but when I managed to get it out, it drank all the milk I gave it. Poor thing. I then let it go in the garden. Hopefully it has learned never to go near the trampoline!!
Nice meeting. He looks scared.

That's both a sad story and a happy ending (we hope). He is so beautiful. Could a little rescue ladder be added........

My little kiwi grandson loves hedgehogs so,it's a fave from me. You got him out just in time to hibernate. Hope he eats plenty for next week or two to get his weight up.
