We stayed for two nights at Mount Cook. It rained for the whole two days, so we couldn't see the grandeur of the scenery. We started walking up the Hooker Valley yesterday, but unfortunately the bridges were closed due to high winds. Just before the first bridge were a few waxeyes. Such cute little birds.
This is really lovely - I wonder if a letterbox crop would take out the bright blob at the bottom? A pity about the weather, but this image is all the better for the drops of water on the thorns. Fav
