We don't really get a good view of the mountain from our home. We used to be able to see it from the upstairs bedroom window before the trees grew. However, there are plenty of places close where we can get a good view. I was driving home and was enjoying the clouds and the hint of colour in the late afternoon.
Such a lovely mountain - we came down to the pouakai circuit last year but of course managed to get a weekend where we just walked in the rain and only got glimpses of the view...
@christinav What a shame it was raining when you did the Pouakai circuit. The Pouakai Tarns are so good to photograph when you can get a perfect reflection of the mountain.
