For the get pushed challenge this week @northy has asked me to do something minimalistic or using negative space ..... in black and white. For this photo, I actually liked the colour version better, but as I was asked to do black and white will post this one today. This was from a walk we did yesterday - the Te Henui walkway which is a lovely, mostly bush covered walk along side the Te Henui river. This is a patch of light on the water with dark shadow everywhere else. I reduced the shutter speed right down to 1/8 of a second and as I was handholding my camera with the 100 - 400 lens - I was happy that I managed to get a little bit of clarity. For true negative space or minimalism I probably should have removed all of the foreground detail.
