On my last day in Queenstown I went for a drive down the lake a little way. I took this photo from 12 Mile Delta. It was a bit of a grey morning and I was missing the lovely light of the day before. I quite liked the scrappy little trees in the lake in front of the mountains. The lake water was quite rough, but nice and smooth in the river.
Sort of sailing yacht trees. Love the way they are sort of leaning into any prevailing wind. A very wintry background showing every bit of branch. It has a certain quiet charm.
