Today I passed the Chomp Award to my friend Maryann S. She teaches math next door to me and so I have many opportunities to see all she does that goes above and beyond. I was so worried about having to talk in front of the entire faculty when I presented the award to her, but I think I did pretty well---I don't think I even turned red---which is very unusual for me!! :) I think it's because I felt good about who I was giving it to--she deserves it. I'm just bummed now because I can't park in the front row anymore!! That sure was nice, especially on these cold days!! Miranda took this picture of me and Maryann after school. **love how red the gator's eyes came out in the picture!!**
Today I'm thankful for....
1. having the opportunity to recognize Maryann's hard work
2. breakfast tacos at the faculty meeting
3. being able to wear a sweatshirt and jeans to work today--principal called it "warm up wednesday" and faculty could wear sweathshirts and nice sweatsuits due to the cold weather
4. the groundhog predicting an early spring :)
5. a glass of wine after a long day
