I know this isn't the best picture, but it's the perfect representation of my day. Around 1:25 the school lost electricity. Believe me, this is quite an experience with 6th-8th graders and especially when the lights go off while the students are switching classes!! :) Luckily, I have a blocked class, so my students were in my room taking a test. We were without power for 1 1/2 hours!! At one point I stepped outside my room and snapped this picture of the darkened hallway. We were able to leave school early so that was nice!! :)
Today I'm thankful for....
1. being blessed with electricity
2. getting out of school early
3. my mam-ma (my grandmother--today was her birthday--she passed away several years ago and I miss her!!)
4. my great niece Taylor--today is her birthday!!
5. a good book to read
That is really good, counting and thankful for all the things that we have. And you had a little bit of extra time for yourself today. Nice photo by the way.
@snowy oohh I should have clarified--my mam-ma is my grandmother not my mom---I haven't lost my mom yet, Praise God!! So sorry you are missing your mother...
I am thankful for electricity!! I remember in, I think, 7th grade (definitely middle school) the electricity went out once because one of the students stuck a paper clip in one of the electrical outlets! Why? He wanted to see what would happen!
