"Sisters annoy, interfere, criticize. Indulge in monumental sulks, in huffs, in snide remarks. Borrow. Break. Monopolize the bathroom. Are always underfoot. But if catastrophe should strike, sisters are there. Defending you against all comers." Pam Brown
thirtydays_4: something that stresses you
I thought about taking a picture of money, bills, or my dirty house but I think the #1 thing that stresses me is when the girls argue with each other. I asked them to pose for this picture and of course Miranda was more than happy to....Addie reluctantly agreed and before they could pose she really DID get mad at Miranda... so the "fight" you see is a real one....not posed!!! Now they normally only fight with words but Miranda was too enthusiastic with the gloves and Addie had enough!! At least they are smiling!! There are times when they get along and I know that one day they will be close friends....I will just have to wait awhile before that day arrives.....
Patience is definitely a major ingredient in a Mom's repertoire. As an adult, I wish I had a sister but I know how hard it is to negotiate life in a family and I imagine adding the rivalry of another girl makes it even more difficult.
growing up in the middle of two sisters I know all about it..they will be awesome friends when they can express all these emotions know...a great pic for you current project and patience is a tiring thing with children fighting, I just separate mine for 10mins ( I have 1 girl and 1 boy though) and they are begging for me to let them play again...sometimes that is even more frustrating depending on my mood, other times it cracks me up but I don't let them know that :)
Great shot!!! I agree with you that sibling "unrest" is very stressful... However, my sister is now my most reliable, most honest, and most comfortable girlfriend, who knows all about where I come from... I try to remind my kids that sibling relationships were chosen by God and are an amazing blessing!!!
great pic:)
