Today we brought Cali to the new house. We let her roam around the back yard with Gracie (our bassett hound) for a little while so she can start getting used to the smells of her new home. We are keeping her inside for a few days to make sure she's used to her surroundings before we let her loose. I'm afraid she will run off and get lost. She is used to living in the country so this will be a big change for her (and for our other cat Butterscotch who will be coming home tomorrow).
Eddie and I went out to eat tonight....we are both so tired and wanted to do something for ourselves...I definitely want to enjoy my holiday and not just work work work!! :)
Miranda called last night so I could listen to the sound of the ocean! I was also able to witness (by phone) her first steps on the sand! :) Today when she called it had been raining all day so they were going to see a movie. They are having fun!! :)
It's so funny to see cats exploring their new location! The first time we let Tao outside after we moved, he was so scared to venture and explore! Now he's loving his new home ;-) I am sure Cali will get used to quickly! Congrats on youe new house! ;-)
Lovely kitty! And yes, putting her inside (in one room) for about two to three weeks will work very well. It "resets" their sense of orientation. Everything will be all right!
