4 Di Credi - Venere

"Darling, please, I am a married man"

Now, I need to admit that playing "Where's Waldo" here is a little easier than in the first one...

Lorenzo Di Credi, "Venus" about 1490, Oil on wood
This came out good!! Funny!

Am shocked that you're wearing your shreddies! Hope you've got a good lawyer...
January 22nd, 2018
This is totally inspired and cleverly done... kudos to you Sir - and good luck when Signorina Dodaro finds out what you've been up to when her back was turned!
January 22nd, 2018
@s4sayer No shock meant: it was a swimsuit... Very sporty, very tight but a swimsuit :-) Thank you!
@vignouse So kind of you, Richard... Would your guest room be free for, say, the next six months? ;-P
January 22nd, 2018
@domenicododaro Mrs S pointed out that I should have referred to Mrs D as Signora Dodaro... but I reminded her that us sentimental and romantic husbands see, when we look at our wives, the young girl that we fell in love with.
January 22nd, 2018
@wag864 So kind of you! I'm humbled. Thanks a lot!

January 23rd, 2018
@caterina Thank you so much, Caterina... More to come, I fear... But it is real fun! I'm humbled for your kind words. Sure I will come to Verona sooner or later, it will be a pleasure to meet!
January 23rd, 2018
Naughty naughty! I can't begin to understand how you did this so i will content myself with explaining it as an in camera double exposure! Fav
January 23rd, 2018
BTY I think you could have got away with it even without the trunks!
January 23rd, 2018
@yrhenwr thank you very much, David! Actually, it’s two different shots: one of the painting and the other of myself. In the appropriate position and with the proper lighting, of course. I layered the two shots, deleted the irrelevant parts of my selfie, selectively corrected the color to match the painting original colors, added some shadows, merged the layers and added a texture to the canvas... a tad longer than an in-camera double exposure! Ah... believe me, I was sufficiently embarrassed even wearing trunks!
January 23rd, 2018
Haha, so funny!
January 23rd, 2018
Bloody Brilliant.. such a unique and perfectly executed image.
January 23rd, 2018
@domenicododaro Thanks for the explanation which illustrates why I don't do this kind of thing! :-) A few clicks is more than enough time for me to spend at the laptop
January 24th, 2018
@yrhenwr that was my belief at the beginning... then I remembered the hours in the darkroom...
