«You see, Junko, I'm more of the photo-seat than of the photo-walk party...»
Most of you know that I enjoyed the privilege of meeting Junko Yokota @jyokota and spend a few hours with her in Rome a couple of days ago. We visited the beautiful Palazzo Massimo, where the frescoes of the ancient Roman Villa Farnesina, dating about 2000 years, were restored and exhibited in their real position. Even lighting has been planned to simulate the natural lighting of the Roman villa. A nice place to rest a moment.
You put us IN the frescoes!!!! Now that I have participated in the photographing part I understand the beginning of how this works. How fun is this??? Just landing in Chicago
Utterly amazing and very clever. Incredible to think that fresco is 2000 years old, hard to get my head around. The impact of the fresco is heightened by the inclusion of you and @jyokota Junko in the end product.
@vignouse Thank you very much, Richard... Much appreciated! @joysabin Thanks, Joy... and I got "our" roll developed. I will start posting from Tuesday (not in Rome today and Monday) @golftragic Too kind of you, Marnie, thanks! @houser934 Indeed, I am enjoying it myself! Thanks!
@francoise haha, the fact is, Françoise, that I'm not so good at photo-walks... Indeed a plan, and time for the set-up... unless I'm up to street photography, that is always difficult when two persons go around each with his own camera! @jyokota Very proud, especially because this is not my own photo, it's definitely half mine and half yours! @ukandie1 Thank you very much, Andie! @helenhall Thanks a lot, Helen! @taffy Should I post the individual photos I and Junko made of each other with "that camera - not that tripod"? Thank you a lot, Taffy! @summerfield Thanks, dear Vikki, thank you very much!
Wow I have just been directed to your images by Junko @jyokota and am so pleased I have “discovered” your work! Such creativity! I shall enjoy going through your project! Fav and following!
@taffy@jyokota WOW! None of my photos ever went on the TT list! Thank you for reporting, Taffy! Credits to Junko, whose presence made nicer the photo and whose hand took a perfect portrait of me, collaged in this image, that is a perfectly 50-50 success!
@jyokota WE put us there! Don’t forget it was you that took my photo... and using my manual focus rangefinder camera! Cool indeed! @bella_ss thank you very much!
@jyokota Too kind of you, Junko. You know, if I ever resolve to write my novel about the camps, I am daringly considering to write it in English... I will need a very good editor for my poor grammar, but I think I could get along with it!
OK...Wait a minute!!! This wasn't on the PP or TT???? Your skills are off the chart! And how wonderful that this time together could bring sweet Junko so much joy.
@domenicododaro Well then! I feel better about THAT! Your skills are amazing...I'm shocked to read that you haven't been there more often...but then, I do notice a lot of canvassing for votes by some...
