From July 4th to September 11th

And now we come back to Bristol, where I and family spent the second week of our very privileged stay in the USA, visiting Louis @walrus. On Hope Street, many houses were still showing decorations and flags shining in the sun from the big parade of the 4th of July.
I think posting this on 11th September makes sense.
Shot on film, on the long-expired Agfa Scala 200 slides film processed as BW negative.
Patriotism is to be applauded... providing it doesn't stray over into jingoism - that's Mr Trump's territory!

@vignouse I do so agree... It's not a matter of patriotism, though, to my eye, more a matter of resilience.

@vignouse Totally agree.

A perfect tribute. Appreciate the post.

The Australian flag flies at our place 365 days of the year so I can only applaud the person who's proudly flying their national flag, especially today.

So appropriate on the 9/11, and I like the interpretation of "resilience". I am excited to be leaving for Italy on Tuesday. I'll be traveling with a group, including my wonderful sister-in-law from Texas, so we are sure to have a fabulous time!

@bkbinthecity Thank you!
@golftragic Indeed...
@featherstone26 Thanks a lot! If you'll spend some time in Rome, drop a message - I’m sure you will have a fab time!
September 14th, 2019
Thanks! We will be in Rome the latter half of our trip. I'll see how things look when I know the full schedule. Looks like it will be warm with only maybe one rainy day, so you're doing a great job on the weather!
September 14th, 2019
@featherstone26 haha, yes, It seems this year is a lucky one in terms of weather! My email is domenico.dodaro@tiscali.it - let me know, it would be great if we could arrange a meet-up
