Chronicles from the street #4

«Do you see me?».
Now, it was me that had the right to pose the question, not her. But high noon had long since passed, I found it wiser to give the pace.
yes, and your bag, the shadows are great, luckily they don't have to keep to the social distancing.

Shooting from the hip as you pass...she'll never notice!

We have many people here too distracted to realize they are not maintain their physical distance. This young lady seems to be regarding her cell phone, so there is no chance she is concerning herself with manners or social norms.

Are you in Rome? Or another Italian city.

Loving your street photos Domenico. What are you allowed out to do? Looks like the streets are very bare of people.

@overalvandaan Thank you, Saxa. Yes, I think my shadow is essential to this shot.
@Weezilou that screen on the Sony that one can unfold and use like an Hasselblad is pure magic!
@mbrutus Thank you again. Yes, it’s everyday story: those phones are getting smarter and smarter with the result that we are getting dumber and dumber...
@wendytel Yes, I live in Rome!
@golftragic Thank you! Just walking the dog and queueing for groceries and pharmacies. But lots of idiots are out running or biking as they had to compete for the Olympics. Italians... All their life on a couch and when there’s a pandemic, they suddenly become adepts of the Holy Church of Saint Eliud Kipchoge!
@vignouse Yes it is, thanks for noticing!

Great story-telling image, love how your shadow in the frame makes the image say so much more

@domenicododaro Hahaha!!! My son used to run half-marathons (and even one full marathon) but no more, just middle-distance now he's nearly 50. The Ethopians have been running role-models for him. He was in Ethopia for some time 20 or more years back and a huge highlight was actually being able to run once with some Ethopians in the Rift Valley. He was fit as a fiddle then, but said he was totally outclassed on what was just a training run. Huge buzz for him.

@leonbuys83 Thanks a lot!
@golftragic I used to run just to keep fit. But last September I tore my calf muscle and had to stop. Now, will wait fo the quarantine to end... Ethiopians are killers on long distance runs, it must be genetic!

I DO see you and your groceries. Good thing YOU are paying attention because clearly she's not.
