I had the Leica Summicron-R 50mm f:2 on the Sony, and brought with me the Leica Summicron-M 50mm f:2 to use it on the M10-R.
So the 61 (Sony) vs. 40+(Leica) MP sensors would be fighting on a very fair terrain: practically the same lens, apart for the size
@vignouse I agree completely in this specific shot. Focusing with the Sony and a manual lens is definitely clumsier than with the Leica’s rangefinder, notwithstanding the electronic focusing aid... @bkbinthecity Thank you! @joysabin Agreed on this specific shot: again, maybe partially a problem of aperture value (I fear I set it wider on the Summicron mounted on the Sony), partially the bother of manual focusing on the mirrorless... @seattlite Thank you very much! @taffy Both are full frame: the Sony has a 61 MP sensor, resulting in a 80*53 cm image at 300ppi, while the Leica has an about 40 MP sensor, resulting in a 66*44 cm image at 300 ppi. Hence the different size. @graemestevens And you should come back and drop a message... I loved the Leica, as a matter of fact. I loved much less its price tag. @ludwigsdiana Thank you so much! @louannwarren Thank you, it’s a comfort, as I own the Sony ;)
