Tailgate Season Finale by dsp2

Tailgate Season Finale

2018.01.09 Tuesday: College football season ended on a high note for us last night, as my family's favorite team won the National Championship game in overtime. We enjoyed our last "home tailgate" of the season while watching the game on television.

Having just bought some new digital journal templates for scrapbooking, I decided to snap some pics as we watched -- so I would be able to collage these and use them to play around with my new templates to learn what I can do with them. I believe that these are going to work out quite nicely for my digital journal!
Great shots and a great collage.

I watched the first half when it wasn't looking so good for Alabama. I couldn't hang in there any longer due to this cold or whatever it is we have. I was surprised to see that Alabama won in OT. Nice collage!

That does appear to be a neat program. I was rooting for the underdog. But can understand why you weren't. It was a great game, though the outcome had the feeling of inevitability about it. Glad now, to know that someone I know can take pleasure from the outcome. Your montage worked out wonderfully.

@mbrutus Thanks! I completely understand rooting for the underdog, and I think that Kirby Smart is a very good coach and will do quite well for Georgia (He certainly was a great coordinator during his time at Alabama!). I thought that AL was going to lose right up until the last second of the game, though ...They certainly didn't play anywhere near their best! It was a fun game to watch, anyway :)

@pej I almost gave up watching at halftime ...The game certainly wasn't fun when Alabama looked like they had forgotten how to play :). It was quite a surprise when Saban brought Tua Tagovailoa in as quarterback; I think that Georgia had practiced for Jalen Hurts and didn't quite know how to handle Tua's style of play. The ending was quite a pleasant surprise, so I'm glad that I stuck it out to watch! (It was quite refreshing afterward to hear Tua thanking God for the win, and to see him hugging his family ...The newscasters say that they moved all the way from Hawaii to Alabama so he could play!)

I hope that you get completely well very soon!

@dsp2 I read a post from Franklin Graham where he was talking about Tua giving thanks to God for the victory. Maybe the Steelers can get this young man in a few years ;-)
