2018.03.06 Tuesday: Although our forecast calls for temps near freezing for the next few nights, it already looks like spring is well underway in my area. Our peach tree is in full bloom, as are our blueberry bushes. Our neighbors' Bradford Pear trees are still in full bloom; our Carolina jasmine, forsythia, and Tulip Magnolias are blooming beautifully. Today I even saw a bumblebee feeding on the blooms of our Weeping Cherry!
Wild violets are beginning to fill yards, and dandelions are spring up all over ...We have already had to cut our lawn for the first time this year! The foliage has fully emerged on our Lamb's Ear, Daylilies, Iris, and Surprise lilies.
The nearest groundhog ("Sand Mountain Sam") predicted an early spring :) -- perhaps he was right this year!
