Flower spray "painting"

This macro shot owes quite a bit to sheer luck! It's a spray of flowers from a Spiraea shrub in our garden. I brought it indoors because it was too windy to get a good shot outside. It'sphotographed against a slate table mat. The lighting, almost entirely fluked, reminded me of the lighting (chiaroscuro) in old paintings.
