Kite mark 3 by dulciknit

Kite mark 3

What a change in the weather today! It's been a typical, blustery March day with rain as a bonus. Not a good day for excursions, i.e. photo opportunities, and Henella is currently too exhausted from her artisitc labours to be co-operative.

I spent a while this morning trying to get a closer shot of the local kite than in Kite mark 2 : http://365project.org/dulciknit/365/2012-02-04

I didn't succeed but it was wonderful to watch him and his mate wheeling round the chimney pots and the way they coped with the wind. I settled for this shot for the album today.
Works better on large view.
Nice capture, like the composition. Havnt managed to actually see these birds round here.

Don't think I've seen these before - what an interesting shape he has. This is a super detailed shot, especially enlarged. Thanks for broadening my world.

Nice capture. You caught him/her coming into the shot. If you had not said it was a chimney then I would have thought it was taken along a quayside with some boat masts.

A brilliant shot. It is great to see details of the bird in flight. Another bird to look out for.
