These are a few of my favourite things. No.1 - brooch

Lester and I managed to pack quite a bit of sight-seeing into the day and we were very lucky that the weather stayed dry. We both enjoyed the day very much.
Today has been a quiet day and I decided to start an occasional series of shots of bits and pieces that I treasure.
This is an up-cycled brooch made from an old tape measure. When it's not posing for 365 it's pinned to my handbag. I'm thinking of putting it on my camera bag, though, because it will get a lot more trips out if I do. :-)
It was bought at a Christmas Fair fund-raising event that my daughter helped organise. I like it because it's a cool, unusual design and a great idea for re-using an old item.
