At the going down of the sun ...

After a lot of thought, I've replaced my original post for 11th with this one. I prefer this shot to the previous posting because it comes more from the heart and not so much the head and I think it's better for it, even if the angle is a bit awkward.
Apologies to those who were kind enough to comment.

This is the Naval war memorial on the Great Lines, a largish piece of common land, overlooking Chatham in Kent where I was born and brought up. It has sisters in Plymouth and Portsmouth which together with Chatham are/were significant naval bases.

I've deliberately used the same title for this and the ones posted on 12th and 13th : http://365project.org/dulciknit/365/2012-12-12

This is so fitting; so grand looking. No less than these good people deserve. Your angle really shows it off well, that lighting is amazing too.

A great monument that looks even greater against the blue sky.

A beautiful monument - at every angle.

I like this angle. It makes me feel like I am about to walk around the photo.

I think the angle is fine. It's so difficult to get those tall buildings / monuments in a perfectly vertical looking position, I think!
