After a lot of thought, I've replaced my original post for 11th with this one. I prefer this shot to the previous posting because it comes more from the heart and not so much the head and I think it's better for it, even if the angle is a bit awkward.

This is the Naval war memorial on the Great Lines, a largish piece of common land, overlooking Chatham in Kent where I was born and brought up. It has sisters in Plymouth and Portsmouth which together with Chatham are/were significant naval bases.
