Flooded verge and woodland

Lester and I took a drive to Cliveden today intending on half an hour's stroll in the grounds but it was shut, probably because of the weather conditions. I spotted this on the way there and asked Lester to stop the car so that I could take some photos.
The part of the verge were I was standing was surprisingly free of mud, probably because it was thickly carpeted in wet leaves.
