It's interesting how doing 365 changes your perceptions sometimes.
This is Le Carrosse (the coach) by Xavier Veilhan and it's on display at Waddesdon Manor.
Not so very long ago I would have dismissed it as weird modern art. But meeting it for the first time recently I looked at it more closely than I would have done before and was struck by the origami-like structure, the way the light bounces off the different planes of the sculpture, the sense of speed and motion conveyed by all those sharp angles and the sense of urgency imparted by the bright red.
I'm far from convinced I've managed to capture all of those things in this shot but it has made me think which is A Good Thing.
(I like the horses very much but for me, all those impressions fall apart a bit when it comes to the coach.)
Critique welcome. Veteran 365er, 2011 vintage. Only posting occasionally and irregularly now.
I'm an abstract photography enthusiast but not exclusively so.

I do think your word origami suits this structure and I do like it very much! Your words describe it accurately! Far better than a piece of plastic shaped like nothing on earth!
I think you nailed this one quite well in your descriptions. Looking at it with that in mind, this is an excellent representation. I must try to look beyond first glance more often. I'll think of this shot and try to do that.
Agree with your description and critique. It is a lovely piece of art. It does indeed look like a piece of origami that my grandson might create. I'll have to show it to him and see what he says.
I think you have caught all those things you describe very well. Agree with you about the coach, that does look quite static compared to the horses, but still has some sharp edges.
It's good we change our taste with time. I was also not very fanatic of art like this one, but now I must tell you, I would love to have it in my garden. Love it.
Cool find and capture! Yes, this project definitely makes us see things differently. Being in my year 3 and with only sporadic posting and commenting, I'm still struck by how much differently I see things.
This is really marvelous! I love the horses very much to and tend to agree about the coach part. It is a pretty cool sculpture and someone is very creative to think of it and then be able to construct it.....I wish my brain worked that way. Great capture of it...
Atta girl! That is thinking like a photog. Like your idea here. I love the stealth planes on this sculpture. For me the whole thing is in a state of motion - which is wonderful. But you are right the play of light is great, but almost indignant! As if the sculpture wants to throw off the light. I like the idea of it. But more to the point you could photograph it every day for centuries and get a different view every time. Nicely seen from this perspective by the way.
Sorry, I will stop waffling. Oh! Sorry for saying sorry... Drat, sorry again. LOL.
