My Nan passed away in November. She was amazing. A wonderful confidant and friend. She lived on her own until she died at 98.
We were very close and my girls and I visited her several times a week. I have her chair. The one she sat in every day for years before we lost her. The one where my girls sat on her lap for stories.
It still smells like her and feels like her. I love it when I have a quiet moment to myself and I can sit in it and talk to her.
For my get pushed challenge. A photo that depicts the phrase "in my dreams"

@sugarmuser Thanks Sharon. It was harder to put together than I thought it would be...partly just going through the photos of her and partly seeing how small the girls were. That photo is from June of 2010...only three years but forever too.
I'm very moved by your story - and your photo expresses it perfectly. I'd say you definitely met your challenge. Your pose and expression nail it completely.
So moved.... I think all Nans are special.... and their stories and they live on in our hearts.... you have struck a deep chord here... a fav from the heart....
This is beautiful Edie. Love the photos and your photo is particularly lovely as you have captured just the right mood. Great response to your challenge.
This is awesome. Love for sharing your nan's story and how precious she was to you. Lovely collage to show this. My grandma died two years ago tomorrow. I woke up on the day after my birthday to find out about it on FB. What a sad world we live in to hear about a loved one that way! Hugs to you! Fav!
Beautiful! I love that a photos alone can say so much. I love to look...then read. The photos were so good that I came up with most of the story line. Thank you for sharing!
This is beautiful and so are your words! I think that is very neat that you have her chair now! And living alone at 98?!!!!!? That is AMAZING!! Beautiful shots. The one on the left is such a keeper! Your girls will LOVE that shot when they are older :)
I don't normally do thank you's, but I did have to thank you all for your comments and faves on this photo. It was an emotional photo for me to take (and the one of her and the girls was a real emotional journey to find) but I had no idea it would resonate so much with so many. Thank you for sharing your love and stories. It means a lot.
@hiarwen2 I know. Huge bloop. xoxox
