Filler - this photo breaks my heart. Her best friend moved away. This was the walk home from her last day at school. My girl has been having a hard time since she left. AND her teacher was her best friends mother so she has lost that too. Sigh. I know she will get through it but I wish it didn't have to be so hard.
Ah, what a poignant shot. How sweet that they are walking in hand in hand and I'm sure she must be very sad having lost her friend, but hopefully she will make a new best friend soon. She will love this shot when she is older.
@suesmith I'm sure she will. And this girls mother and I are quite good friends so we will stay in touch. I have a collection of photos of the two of them that I intend to continue to add to. Thank you. x

Powerful shot. I know what you mean...I watched my daughter nurse a broken heart for similar reasons at the age of 5....nine years ago and I still choke at the memory.

This little girls mother and I are very good friends so they will be able to stay in touch...but we do miss them terribly day to day. I have so many photos of them and when we visit I will continue to take them. I hope to make them a book when they are older.
