August 20th ....

Charity gig with Tim ( http://365project.org/edpartridge/365/2011-03-20) and Rob ( http://365project.org/edpartridge/365/2011-04-15) confirmed for August 20th ... I now need to remember how to play bass.

Tim's last two bassists were Mike Rutherford (Mike and The Mechanics) and Mark King (Level 42) - no pressure then.

And if anyone has £400 they don't want, there's a nice bass I have my eye on ...
YAH! No pressure - ha! The husband and I (still) love Level 42.

Doing things for charity is nice! I don't know who those bands are but you got this!

@meggageg "Mike and The Mechanics" have sold over 10,000,000 records and had a #1 in the US in the late 80's with a song called "The Living Years" (Apparently Glee covered it recently).

Mark King and Level 42 have also sold millions of records but weren't that big in the US. Mark King in his prime was regarded as the best bassist in the world ... (Though he said it was the most popular ..)

Love the perspective in this-- makes it unique. I wouldn't have thought to take it this way.
