Apparently that saying “an apple day keeps the doctor away” is a bunch of malarkey. My husband and I have both been eating apples every day for the last few weeks; however, we both caught an annoying cold which will just not go away. Hopefully, we will be back to our healthy selves soon.
I recently read that the way apples are grown today for consumers, they dont have natural defenses and so they are over sprayed to prevent pest and disease. They said the skin of market apples are very bad to eat. I am not sure if that means only eat organic, home grown or peel it. I will never stop eating them, but that might be a reason to peel them.
What a beautiful and simple photo. Perfectly taken . . has the great lighting and clarity. Same story here tho. Eat one everyday. Am now sick again with the second cold of the winter. Bummer. :(
