This Oriole is like, look, I know you're sick but hey, you're home right, so you might as well freshen up those humming bird feeders. Me and my extended extended family are here and we're a little hungry ;-)
Year 7 on this adventure! I’m especially appreciative of the community found here! I am inspired by everyone; learning from so many. Your shares make...
I'm always amazed that , though you don't live terribly far, you get so many wonderfully exotic photos of flora and fauna! This bird is exquisite...never saw one like it! And I chuckled, too, as, though it was late in the day, I freshened the hummingbird feeders, too, as I see the sparrows and finches helping themselves also...much to Mz Hummers annoyance!
@Weezilou Yes - we only get these guys from March through May or June. They are stunning! And the femailes are just as beautiful - they're pale green with muted markings - I will try and share one of her. Isn't it funny how many others will feast from the feeders? The hummers are feisty though :-)
Ken says it's a good thing the hummingbirds aren't any bigger than they are or they'd be quite dangerous! Funny little birds that never cease to delight, aren't they?!
