Walking back to the office and in front of the Mission (major tourist destination), on the sidewalk, I spotted this tiny rectangle on the ground. I immediately flashed to being 5 or 6, in the backseat of a Chevy Impala with older sibling, traveling 6500 miles cross country and if I was lucky, when we'd stop at a diner I might be allowed an item out of the vending machine (back when cigarettes were in there (they might still be)) at the door/seating area.
Who could resist a PEZ candy dispenser, I ask?! Especially a Flintstone character or the like?! The inevitable fun of loading the candy and then dispensing the candy as if Dino was coughing up candy!
The hubs was wondering what I was doing when I pulled out my phone and quickly grabbed a snap. I told him, I think that's a little PEZ candy on the sidewalk. When I got home and looked at the pic, sure enough, I could vaguely make out the word PEZ in this iconic shaped piece of memories!
