It's fun being a tourist when Table Mountain is the backdrop
Half an hour on Signal Hill had me smiling. French, German, American, South African, Korean and Brazilian tourists, all taking photos of the new Cape Town stadium, and the glorious views.
Our town planners need to look at the photography facilities up there, though. The "photographic spots" have nowhere for photographers to stand easily. It would be a simple matter to build a small deck out here rather than having guys balance on the armco. I can just imaging some non-photographer in Town Planning not even realising that it's the pictures that you take home that make the real memories.

Just stunning!! There'll be a few more tourists up there in the coming weeks....we know quite a few Kiwis and Sth Africans who now live in NZ making the trip for the World Cup.
You're absolutely spot on about the non photographers missing the importance of a good platform for these people! It looks dreadfully precarious in your picture! You're so right too, that it's always about the pictures, more than anything else, that wse want to take home with us.
