Lovely shot. Remembering the first time we went to Blues - ages ago just after it had opened. Fantastic oysters. Didn't want them to end!!

@mixiewing I doubt those birds were going to catch any, given where they are - although two weeks ago we were given a bag of 50 fresh mussels, picked from these rocks.

Beautiful capture. We used to have oyster catchers on the Texas coast, I wonder if they are the same species. Thanks for sharing a little bit of your coastline.

@omabluebird This is the African Black Oystercatcher, that is only found on the coast of South Africa and Namibia. There are twelve different species of Oystercatchers world-wide, so the Texas ones are just cousins!
