They had some very affectionate pet cows at the place where we stayed in Paso Robles. Well, I'm told that the Mama cow doesn't approach just anyone, but she came up to me - so I was honored.

When Ken and I began dating while in college, he'd take me out to his family's farm. I was so enchanted with the cows, and he still jokes about how I said I loved their "soft, squishy noses"! Animals certainly make this world a pleasant place!
