Ennerdale Water by ellida

Ennerdale Water

As any Cumbrian will tell you, there is only one lake in the Lake District, all the rest have other titles, Water, Tarn, Mere etc.

This is a long exposure shot taken from the north end of Ennerdale and looks towards Scafell.
Lovely long exposure. Amazing what 30 seconds can do! Fav.

Stunning water. Didn't Beatrix Potter live and write her books in the Lake District? I have never been to England but it is on my list. :)

@gardenfolk Hi ! ...and yes, the English Lake District as indeed home to Miss Potter. Her home was on the Eastern side of the mountains. I live on the Western side and this little lake was home territory for William Wordsworth.

Thank you very much for browsing my images and taking the trouble to comment, it is very much appreciated. And do come and see our Lake District National Park - it was declared a World Heritage site earlier this year!!

@ellida Thank you...It sounds very nice. I also want to visit Somerset as Montacute House (National Trust) is suppose to be my ancestral home. :)
