So gorgeous ... so much to look at. This setting looks like it would be right at home on an Acorn TV program! The rock fences just fascinate me - what a huge amount of work it took to gather all the rocks and then to build the fence. But the last FOREVER apparently:)

Love the way the road takes your eye up to Kirk Fell. Great composition Graham. Had to find Wasdale Head on Google maps. Interesting story there :-)

@terryliv Thanks for commenting Terry. Wasdale Heads does have a couple of 'claims to fame' not least of which is the 'International liar competition' that is held there every year! In this event each contestant must tell an amusing story that is outrageously untrue.

@ellida That was the interesting story I was referring to. That Wasdale Head claims to be home of the highest mountain, deepest lake, smallest church and biggest liar in England. LOL
